Senior Health Physicist

A Senior Health Physicist in HRTD/STTSB, you will be responsible for analyzing designs, developing, implementing, and evaluating training and development activities to meet agency-wide technical and regulatory needs, as assigned. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assessing the implications of changes in agency goals and strategies, and applicable laws and regulations, on technical training requirements. Evaluating and recommending sources of education and training methodologies to satisfy NRC skill and competency needs, selecting new and alternative methods, as appropriate. Providing expert advice on instructional technologies, design, techniques and methods, media suitability, and selection and evaluation techniques. Managing broad and complex programs involving contracts with external organizations and corporations for the design, development, implementation, and administration of technical training programs. Conducting classroom presentations, discussions, and workshop activities to meet technical and regulatory skills training needs of the NRC staff. More specifically you will be responsible for:
Teaching - You will be expected to develop training materials and conduct classroom presentations using appropriate techniques such as formal lectures, workshops, demonstrations, seminars, video conferences, webinars and role playing. Where appropriate, you will employ both physical and electronic training aids.Contract Management - When in-house expertise is not available contracts and Interagency Agreements (IAA) may be used to conduct training. You will be expected to write Statements of Work (SOW) and develop an Independent Government Cost estimates (IGCE) for procurements for which you are responsible and submit requisitions in the Agency's strategic acquisition system STAQS.Course Management - You will be expected to use TMS as an administrator to manage all training courses for which you have responsibility including scheduling course offerings and monitoring student enrollment. You will also be expected to project budget needs at least two years in advance for the contracts and IAAs for which you are responsible and develop a Spending Plan to insure that funds are obligated and expended on schedule. You will be required to coordinate with Regional and Program Office staff and management regarding training course needs, development, presentation and administration. In addition to meeting the basic educational requirements, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as work which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position; demonstrates a thorough knowledge of health physics associated with commercial nuclear power facilities, fuel cycle facilities or materials programs with emphasis on inspection, enforcement, radiation safety, and the uses of byproduct, source and special nuclear materials as they relate to nuclear reactor health physics; and experience with development and implementation of training programs or formal presentations. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST COMPLETE A FORMAL INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATION PROGRAM WITHIN 1 YEAR OF APPOINTMENT. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO MAINTAIN INSPECTOR QUALIFICATION IF ALREADY QUALIFIED OR BECOME AT LEAST BASIC QUALIFIED UNDER IMC 1245, 1246, 1247, 1248 or 1252, SINCE THE INSPECTION PROGRAM IS THE FOCUS OF THE TRAINING PROVIDED.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
