End User Computing Project Manager Location:
Chattanooga, TN Position Type:
Six-month Contract Key
Responsibilities:
Oversees the planning and implementation of End User Computing project tasks for CHI Memorial Epic Implementation.
Ensures tasks meet budget, schedule and scope requirements.
Provides leadership to end user computing tasks in the following areas:
Project governance and planning for end user computing tasks Project activities, schedule and responsibilities Communication Management Quality Management Risk and Issue Management Resource Management Scope Management Vendor/Contract Management - ordering of vendor products/services as needed Benefit Management People Change Management.
Enforces project management standard practices.
Assembles reports on project status, including progress and resource deployment.
Monitors all project linkages, dependencies, and enablers.
Identifies, monitors, and tracks risk.
Monitors resource utilization.
Monitors and coordinates all project related communications.
Travels as required to manage phases of projects.
Ensures the quality and success of the project deliverables and is accountable for managing risks and issues that come up.
Focuses on delivering project tasks on time, within budget and within planned scope.
Provides feedback on project learnings and best practices Leads post-project audits with Epic PMO staff and management.
Works autonomously and provides strong leadership to their team and SMEs.
Communicates with PM Leads, Epic management and stakeholders regarding project status.
Coordinates activities across ITS and Application functions as needed for projects Coordinates project purchasing requirements with Client and Vendor management group as needed Works with PM leads to harvest project leading practices and key learnings to improve performance of future projects Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
3-8 years of project management experience and 5
years of total IT/project management experience required.
End user computing experience is required Experience with healthcare applications, Epic strongly preferred.
Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with implementing project management best practices and frameworks such as PMI or CMM is required.
PMI certification preferred.
Experience in all of the project management disciplines described in the Responsibilities - General section of this profile is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project is required.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience leading project teams is required.
