The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Industrial Engineer for a Fortune 100 distribution center in Tennessee. The qualified will serve as a project leader for the Industrial Engineering activities associated with the broad or technically complex projects requiring applications of advanced Industrial Engineering technology throughout the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
Identifies and solves problems associated with the administration of Standard Times
Compiles time study data, enters time study data, and calculates associate percent performance by overall
performance and individual work element
Assists in the development of standard times by calculating frequency distribution on time study data
Ensures all Industrial Engineering activities including explanation, presentation and selling management
Coordinates, develops and monitors reporting systems to measure line utilization, productivity, labor
efficiency, and material control on an on-going basis
Conducts feasibility studies of varied projects to determine the worth of an investment and provide an
economic justification for capital appropriations
Provides industrial engineering support for cost estimating to our plants and staff
Develops and implements plant direct labor standards for manning, costing and evaluating performance
where required
Identifies and evaluates problems and develops improvements to production, packaging material usage
and methods of operations by using various Industrial Engineering techniques
Develops and analyzes systems and methods to provide low cost transportation services
Coordinates all necessary resources outside this department to bring projects to a timely and cost efficient
conclusion
Assists the Manager of Plant Services in directing all on-going projects as required
Serves as department liaison between divisions
Requirements:
BS Industrial Engineering
2
years' experience in a warehousing/distribution environment
Thoroughly experienced in Industrial Engineering technology and application
Extensive experience with coordinating the efforts of people on broad, complex projects
Proficient computer skills are required
Ability to communicate at all levels within organization
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification is highly desired
Programming skills and SQL knowledge is highly desired
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 plus bonus!
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
