As the Communications Content Creator, you will play a key role in enthusiastically sharing the stories of the Aquarium's work and community impact, largely through video production.
Working in a team environment, you will create engaging content for internal and external channels including news releases, website content, e-newsletters, and social posts.
Work collaboratively with all departments and assist with media opportunities.
Must have clear and effective communications skills, ensuring all content strengthens the Aquarium's mission, vision, and brand identity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.
Acquire visual content and produce videos with an emphasis on social channels 2.
Write news releases, internal communications, social posts, and E-Newsletters 3.
Assist with the production and delivery of live, digital events 4.
Assist with social care of the Aquarium's platforms 5.
Participate in brainstorming, promoting, and coverage of special events 6.
Assists other areas of marketing as needed during major events Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Associate's degree in communications or public relations required; bachelor's degree preferred One to two years of experience in communications, journalism, and/or public relations Demonstrated video production skills, particularly concise social media videos Digitally fluent on the following platforms:
YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn Demonstrated writing skills (News releases, newsletters, internal communications tools, social media, and web content) Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred Proficient with AP style Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and social media administration tools Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop preferred Energetic team player Valid driver's license Full time, hourly; Occasional evening or weekend event work may be required All submissions must be received by August 14, 2023.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
