Summary:
Sun Pharmaceuticals Canada is seeking a Lab Technician to join our team in Chattanooga, TN.
This position will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory testing on a variety of samples including but not limited to veterinary drugs, vaccines, and other biological products.
The Lab Technician will work closely with the Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Supervisor.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field preferred.
Experience working in a laboratory setting preferred but not required.
Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds (may include but is not limited to:
lab equipment, chemicals, medical equipment).
Must be able to read and write English fluently.
Responsibilities:
analysis of chemical and API sampling using established and documented methods.
documentation of results, logging analyses, samples and time studies.
following all procedures and safety policies on which they have been trained.
Must be familiar with Windows based computer skills.
Must be familiar with and accomplished on basic wet chemical analysis techniques such as pipeting, weighing, titrating, etc.
Must have the ability to follow instructions carefully with attention to detail.
Prefer degree in chemistry or other related science.
Must be able to work any shift.
Must have trained and signed off on all SOP's listed for Technicians in SOP #B-25-11.
Must have trained and signed off on all methods used by that person.
Responsible for other duties as required.
