0 Full-time 3 days ago Full Job Description JOB THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT ENTERPRISE SOUTH NATURE PARK.
Under close supervision, performs a variety of routine and regular cleaning, lawn care maintenance and/or landscaping duties within the County Parks' open areas, buildings, grounds, parks facilities, campsites, ballparks, and recreation sites.

) EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Operates daily a variety of lawn care and landscaping equipment such as, but not limited to, mowers, weed eaters, tree trimmers, edgers, etc.
Responsible for loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and efficient manner; performs vehicle and equipment checks; performs preventive maintenance on lawn care equipment; may transfer equipment to and from work sites; may provide assistance in snow removal and ice control.
Work around all types of moving equipment.
Routinely and regularly mows grass; weeds plant beds; prunes trees; trims and edges landscaping; cleans facilities, grounds, pavilions, campsites, ballparks, and other recreation facilities; performs maintenance and repairs of recreation facilities and grounds.
Responsible for workplace safety; performs preventive maintenance and other general maintenance activities related to lawn care and landscaping equipment; operates a variety of lawn care maintenance related tools, and landscape maintenance equipment.
Perform a variety of support and clean-up activities as well as other general laborer duties involving cleaning, sweeping and handling of all types of Parks and Recreation materials.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of equipment manuals, work order systems and other general documentation processes relating to the maintenance of County parks and recreational equipment and facilities.
Knowledge of Hamilton County policies and procedures.
Knowledge of relevant Federal, State and County codes and regulations relating to building maintenance and workplace safety.
Knowledge of County geography, parks and recreational facilities and work site locations.
Skill in reading, interpreting, understanding and applying applicable Federal and State rules and regulations and Hamilton County Policies and Procedures.
Skill in working with a variety of hand and power tools, landscaping and construction equipment, equipment manuals and engineering specifications and drawings.
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with the general public, department staff, other County departments and contractors.
Skill in the performance of landscaping and plant care.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION The equivalent of a High School Diploma and a valid driver's license are required.
SAFETY SENSITIVE:
This position has been identified as safety sensitive under the definition of 49 CFR Part 40-Department of Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Policy.
This position will be subject to drug and alcohol testing for the following:
1) post offer pre-employment 2) when there is reasonable cause 3) after an on-the-job accident or contributing to an accident 4) on a random basis 5) prior to return to duty after suspension and/or 6) as follow-up.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work requires moderate physical effort involving considerable walking and standing with intermittent sitting and driving.
The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
The employee is required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust while performing the duties of this job.
Employee will routinely and regularly work in the outdoor environment and will experience outside weather conditions.
Seasonal weather exposure may include rain, cold or hot temperatures with high humidity.
Employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to vibration from equipment.
The employee may work in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Local travel to various worksites is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
