Henry YMCA is searching for bilingual (Spanish) early learning teachers who would like to work with the YMCA Language Immersion Early Learning Center.
The position works with caregivers and their early learners on Chatta Basics, language, sounds, colors, numbers, letters, and related subjects.
The purpose of the program is to prepare early learners for school and help caregivers create an engaging and learning environment in the home.
Day In The Life of a Bilingual Preschool Teacher:
Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans within established guidelines Supervises children, classroom, and all activities Ensures the children's safety Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents/guardians Engages parents/guardians as volunteers Maintains program site and equipment Maintains required program records.

e sign in/sign out rosters Monitors and engages in games and activities with children Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training Handles emergencies as they happen Develops positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds Other duties as assigned What's required:
Bilingual (Spanish/English) Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law, including 18 hours of online training and in-service training.
High school degree required; one year of college preferred.
At least 18 years of age.
Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting.
Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, stoop and lift.
