We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician III - Balloon Setup to join our Chattanooga, TN team.
As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
Manufacture medical device balloons per specifications, including startup and shutdown of equipment Work independently to set-up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and tooling used in the process.
Clean work area, equipment, and tooling thoroughly Read, follow, and accurately complete all provided documentation (product drawings, work procedures, process logs, etc.
) Have some computer proficiency with a willingness to learn computer systems required to perform job responsibilities Inspect product per specifications using specified measuring equipment Have ability to leverage previous methods, processes, equipment, and tooling to address new process and equipment challenges.
Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP):
line clearance, work instructions, documentation, etc.
Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing Work with engineers to streamline process to meet manufacturing build time, cost, and yield targets Work with engineers to generate clear and concise work instructions, test methods, and visual standards Work with and train other skilled technicians/operators in the manufacturing techniques, inspection methods, and required documentation Communicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvement Be willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have ability to modify work shift as needed by business conditions Perform other duties as appropriate Education, Experience and Requirements Associate degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two-years related experience Prior experience with polymers and molds is preferred Able to troubleshoot moderately complex process, equipment, and tooling issues.
Extremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitude Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred, but not required Good written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, team player Perform work tasks at elevated height Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 500 lbs assisted Proof of 20/20 or better vision, unaided or corrected We regret that we are unable to sponsor employment visas or consider individuals on time-limited visa status for this position.
