This position will provide support to conveyor specialist responsible for conveyor projects at a major automotive manufacturer.
PM execution after contract award of multiple individual conveyor projects.
Finalizing project specifications
Contractor design reviews/approvals
On-site and off-site pre-checks of vendor conveyor equipment build and modifications
Verifications of mechanical installations
Evaluation of simulation/emulations as required
Mechanical and Project weekend work and jobsite coordination
Support testing and startup verifications
Project status monitoring
Monday morning Start of Production events
Any mechanical for LJU
Any mechanical for Andon
Kanban
Punchlist - (Maintain Punchlist and Punchlist reporting)
Daily Job site review meeting
Daily Job site pre-work meeting
Relevant advanced degree at accredited College or University
Minimum 3-5 year experience level, (5-10
preferred)
Micro-station CAD software (or aptitude/willingness to learn based on equivalent ACAD experience)
Machine design of automotive conveyors and automotive conveyor systems.
Reading and creating mechanical drawings
Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project/R-Plan
Automotive conveyor installation and startup projects
Strong project management skills
Support 2nd or off shift installation activities (if required)
Support weekend, holiday, and or shutdown installation activities (as required)
Travel to vendor locations (if required)
